Biography

Maria-Teresa Segarra graduated in Computer Sciences from the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain. She received her Mastère diploma from the ENST-Bretagne Graduate School of Telecommunications Engineering at Brest, France in 1996. She received her Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies (M.S.) in Computer Sciences in 1997 and her PhD degree in 2000, both from the University of Rennes 1. From 1997 to 2000, she was a PhD student at IRISA Research Laboratory, Rennes, France. From September 2000 to August 2001, she was a Temporary Research and Teaching Assistant at IRISA Research Laboratory and IFSIC (University of Rennes 1), respectively. Since September 2001 she is an assistant professor at the Departement of Computer Sciences at ENST-Bretagne.

Research Interests

My research interests include distributed systems, object-oriented approaches, reflection, and adaptive systems. More specifically I am interested in dynamic adaptation to variations in mobile environments. I have recently been working on the design of an object-oriented, component-based framework that encapsulates services that adapt to changes on execution conditions (MolèNE project).
